Love to write, but struggling with writer's block or lack of motivation?  Do you have a story you want to put on paper?  Maybe you would like to leave a memoir for your family.  You are not alone!  Overcome your concerns and learn confident, effective writing with the members of the Cummings Library Write Club.  Our group encourages and fosters creative writing by providing support and networking opportunities for both aspiring and published authors in all genres.  The initial portion of every session includes an in-depth presentation on writing such as narration, character and plot development, dialogue and other concepts that will improve and enhance your story.  During the balance of the session, members read what they have written for valuable feedback from other members to hone one's skill.Join us on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. AARP Foundation Tax Aide volunteers will once again be providing tax preparation services beginning February 1, 2018 at four Martin County Library System sites:
  • Hoke Library in Jensen Beach
  • Peter & Julie Cummings Library in Palm City
  • Blake Library in Stuart
  • Robert Morgade Library in Port Salerno

Last year, volunteers prepared over 2,000 returns at these four locations. Tax preparation services are provided at no cost on a first come/first served basis. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS to prepare a range of individual income tax returns; however there are some situations that are outside the scope of the program.

For tax preparation please bring:
  • Your Social Security card and photo ID along with cards for any dependents.
  • All 2017 tax documents (W-2's; 1099's; SSA's; interest and dividend statements) along with last year's tax return.
  • Any expense documents to support deductions (medical; charity; taxes and mortgage amounts.)
  • If you purchased medical coverage through the Marketplace, bring form 1095-A.
